Remembering "Ditto"

The loss of Ditto and her 12 puppies was devastating. It appears that Ditto died of a condition that is becoming more prevalent in the golden retriever called "Hydrops." Ditto had too much amnionic fluid in her uterus that was carrying 12 pups. The stress of the extended uterus and extra fluids was too much for her heart and she passed about 1 week prior to whelping her litter. Ditto was my first Bred By Exhibitor girl and we were doing great in the show ring with several nice wins including two Best of Breed accomplishments. Ditto was "Mamma's Girl", that is for sure, and all who knew Ditto loved her. She will be sadly missed. This video is a celebration of a wonderful girl's life. Thank-you Ditto for all we learned while we enjoyed life together!
